Whitko Choir At First Free Will Baptist

CLAYPOOL — The First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will have the Whitko High School Choir during its 6 p.m. Sunday service.

All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship Center is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The meal will include biscuits and gravy, hash browns,  scrambled eggs, fried apple, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The church is at 1250 Husky Trail, Warsaw, next to Martin's Super Market.



Gospel Concert Sunday At Riverview

TIPPECANOE — Christian Davis of Lebanon, Tenn., will give a gospel concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Community Church.

Davis began to sing and play various instruments at age 3. He joined the Sounds of Liberty at Liberty University as bass vocalist in 1988, and has also sung with the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet, the Old Friends Quartet, Christian Brothers and Mercy’s Mark.

He has appeared on the Gaither series, at the Grand Ole Opry and Focus on the Family.

There is no charge for the concert, but a love offering will be collected.

The church is at 3780 Ind. 110, Tippecanoe.



Stations Of The Cross Fridays At St. Anne’s

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will offer Stations of the Cross at 5:30 p.m. Fridays during Lent.  

The public is invited to take part in the mini pilgrimage remembering Jesus’s steps from his condemnation by Pilate to his crucifixion.

Clothing Giveaway At Healing House

Healing House Church of God is planning a clothing giveaway from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The church is at 210 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.

Undefeated No More: Warsaw Defeats HSE To Clinch State Finals Berth
The only thing standing in the way of the Warsaw Lady Tigers and an appearance in the state championship was their biggest challenge yet: Hamilton Southeastern, the undefeated No. 1 team in the state. Like every other challenge the ladies have faced this season, they were more than up for the task. In what ended up being one of the most intense back-and-forth games you’ll ever see, the Lady Tigers used a big fourth quarter to punch their ticket to Indianapolis with a 67-61 win.

Lady Tigers Use Incredible Start To Punch Ticket To Final Four
Two wins away from an appearance in the state finals, the Warsaw girls basketball team began its quest to get both of them at Frankfort Saturday with a meeting with McCutcheon. The Lady Tigers came to play, opening up a 19-0 lead in the first quarter and never looking back from there. Warsaw will play in a Final Four game on Saturday night after winning 66-48.

What a fun-filled, action-packed weekend. I might, for starters, just sound like I’m the town crier for local sports’ scheduled events at first, but I’ll find an unsolicited opinion to share before I exceed my word limit.
