The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 10:10 a.m. Thursday – April Michelle Blair, 24, of 9462 N. Ind. 19, #37, Etna Green, arrested for theft. Bond: $600.

• 10:16 a.m. Thursday – Hayden Riley Smith, 18, of 13364 E. CR 225S, Akron, arrested for burglary and theft. Bond: $10,250.

• 10:32 a.m. Thursday – Tanner Logan Garris, 28, of 2032 W. CR 1200S, Silver Lake, arrested for criminal trespass. Bond: $500.

• 12:09 p.m. Thursday – Stephan Deshawn Newsom, 26, Detroit, Mich., arrested for resisting law enforcement – fleeing and false informing. Bond: $750.

• 1:48 p.m. Thursday – Nichole Lynne Eckert, 43, of 10208 S. Roosevelt St., Silver Lake, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $700.

• 2:26 p.m. Thursday – Robert Ray Mansfield III, 43, of 1100 N. Huntington St., Syracuse, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter. Bond: $500.

• 4:55 p.m. Thursday – Jenna Rose Parks, 33, of 1407 N. Riverwood Ranch Road, Warsaw, arrested for probation violation and aggravated battery. Bond: $11,500.

• 8:37 p.m. Thursday – Kathleen Grace Rollins, 29, Marion, arrested for false informing and domestic battery. Bond: $600.

• 10:33 p.m. Thursday – Steven Cloise Lambert, 38, of 411 EMS T26 Lane, Leesburg, arrested for possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and resisting law enforcement with the use of a vehicle. Bond: $5,250.

• 2:43 a.m. today – Mark Anthoney Hershberger, 44, Goshen, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content between .08 and .15. Bond: $700.



Personal Injury Accidents

• 6:13 a.m. Thursday – North CR 200E, 1,500 feet south of Armstrong Road, Leesburg. Car left road and hit a fence belonging to Todd M. Anderson, North CR 200E, Leesburg. Driver: Michele L. Coy, 35, North Warner Road, Syracuse. Injury: Coy complained of pain to the neck and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

• 2:11 p.m. Thursday – East CR 1300N, 700 feet west of North CR 300E, Milford. SUV hit pedestrian. Driver: Catherine L. Hoopingarner, 88, East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Injury: The pedestrian, Randy J. Keck, 60, North Acorn Street, Syracuse, was taken to Goshen Hospital for pain to his upper arm. Damage: $750-$1,000. KCSD.



Property Damage Accidents

• 3:39 p.m. Wednesday – 308 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Two-car collision. Drivers: Jon P. Shopoff, 74, South Huntington Street, Syracuse; Juan R. Medina Ortiz, 19, EMS D1 Lane, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Syracuse Police Department investigated.

• 5:16 a.m. Thursday – West Ind. 14, 500 feet west of South CR 850W, Akron. SUV swerved to miss a deer and went off road, striking a fence belonging to Tiffany S. Adams, West Ind. 14, Akron. Driver: James G. Black, 52, North Jefferson Street, South Whitley. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.

• 7:11 a.m. Thursday – 2094 N. Boeing Road, Warsaw. Pickup hit parked car registered to Ezekiel W. Wilson, Bremen. Driver: Jonathan B. Edwards, 39, North Main Street, Syracuse. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.



Incidents

• 1:01 a.m. Wednesday – A welfare check was requested for an intoxicated man in the 600 block of South Dixie Drive, North Webster. The man was taken to the county jail and booked for intimidation on law enforcement, battery on law enforcement and disorderly conduct – noise. North Webster Police Department investigated.

• 2:02 p.m. Wednesday – A woman reported somebody broke into her vehicle in the 400 block of East CR 1150N, Milford, and stole a car stereo and radar detector. Value: $200. KCSD.

• 3:38 p.m. Wednesday – A report was taken on an accident between a farm tractor and a pickup truck in the 6900 block of West CR 1350N, Nappanee. There were no injuries. KCSD.

• 5:31 p.m. Wednesday – A woman reported damage to a vehicle from a hit-skip accident in the 200 block of West Main Street, Warsaw. KCSD.

• 5:43 p.m. Wednesday – A man reported criminal mischief to a vehicle within the past two weeks in the 100 block of North Main Street, Milford. Damage: $1,000. Milford Police Department investigated.

• 7:15 p.m. Wednesday – A welfare check was performed in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:04 p.m. Wednesday – A man reported finding a cellphone in the 100 block of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Value: $600. WPD.

• 11:44 p.m. Wednesday – An employee of Marcos Pizza in the 100 block of East Winona Avenue, Warsaw, reported a theft and counterfeiting. WPD.

• 5:30 a.m. Thursday – A person reported the theft of vehicle parts and accessories, credit and debit cards, and money from vehicles in the 2500 block of Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw. WPD.

• 10:47 a.m. Thursday – A subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamines in the 300 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 11:40 a.m. Thursday – A road rage incident in which a firearm was pointed at another person was reported in the 3900 block of East CR 300N, Warsaw. KCSD.

• 5:07 p.m. Thursday – A vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of North Columbia Street, Warsaw. Value: $7,500. WPD.

• 4:15 a.m. today – A death was reported in the 2100 block of Kuder Lane, Warsaw. WPD.
