MENTONE — Ardith J. Smythe, 85, rural Warsaw, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Mason Health Care, Warsaw.

She was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Liberty Mills, to John and Pearl Metzger Helvey. On Nov. 19, 1950, in Warsaw, she married Gene E. Smythe. He died Sept. 12, 1993.

She retired from Wildman Uniform and Linen after 40 years.

Private family services are planned. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

King Memorial Home, Mentone, assisted with arrangements.
