The Syracuse Library is busy all day Feb. 15.

The day begins with yoga, “Food from Fiction,” “Fun at Four” and ends with teen gaming in the meeting room.

Knitting for children and adults meet at 5 p.m. in their departments on the comfortable couches. Actually, the adult group is called “String Theory,” so that, any person working on a fiber-craft project is welcome.

The Children’s Book Club meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday for a cupcake book and confetti circus cupcake with swirl icing.

“Did-Day” adult club will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The story is of the author Adriana Trigiani’s grandparents immigration from Italy to 1920’s Brooklyn and onto a mining town in Minnesota. “The Shoemaker’s Wife” is one of Trigiani’s most acclaimed novels.

The winter book club “Food From Fiction,” will eat a simple meal as they talk about American food from the South inspired by Beloved, a post-Civil War ghost story. Beloved by Toni Morrison won a Pulitzer Prize, a Nobel Prize for Literature, and was chosen by 200 colleagues to the New York Times as the most influential book in the past 25 years. All book discussion groups and programs at the Syracuse Library invite new attendees.

Parents that are bringing children to story times on Monday or Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. are encouraged to sign up. Other reasons to come to the library are to excercise with chair yoga classes at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thurs days. The library offers many learning experiences that are not centered around books.

WorkOne services are at the library from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays. People Link will have a representative present from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The mobile office in Syracuse offers service without the drive to Warsaw.
