Carl Jr. and Carol Shepherd will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Carl Shepherd Jr. and the former Carol Boyer were married Feb. 11, 1978, in Silver Creek Church of God, Silver Lake.

They enjoy spending time with their family, especially cornhole/family dinner Sundays in the summer.

They have two daughters, Jennifer (Kyle) Miller, Silver Lake, and Janel (Brent) Long, Silver Lake. They have nine grandchildren.
