The Indiana Football Coaches Association released the 2017 Academic All-State team. Region Two had 82 players make the team, with three coming from the area. The award acknowledges all the effort these student-athletes have used to excel in the classroom and on the playing field.
Wawasee had two players named on the team. Will Geer and Zakary Linnemeier earned the award for the Warriors.
Drew Stichter was placed on the team from Triton.
