Gary Gerard, I have to write this to you and the readers of the Times-Union.
I usually enjoy reading your articles that you write regularly. I have to say I agree with you on a lot of the issues you write and comment about, and even last Saturday’s article about “HOLDING THEM ALL ACCOUNTABLE” is a very good article overall. I feel you are very good at presenting differing viewpoints on issues that you write about.
However, I take offense and am surprised that you would express your personal belief out to all the readers that President Trump “lies” and you “believe he is a LUNATIC.” That of course is your opinion. My opinion is I do not hold your belief on that and I DO NOT believe that Trump lies or is a lunatic. The definitions and meanings that I could find on the word lunatic are: A foolish person, a crazy person, a dangerous person and a mentally ill person. I had to look again at your Saturday article, I thought I had actually mistakenly picked up a copy of USA TODAY or the Fort Wayne JOURNAL GAZETTE, because this is very common and regular readings in their opinionated, politically biased writings.
President Trump continues to get bombarded by opinionated accusations and false breathless reports and stories one after another from the Democrats, the progressives, even many of the so called Republicans and at least 90 percent of the news outlets continually degrade and speak negatively about him and his agendas. No one should be surprised. Many have said this will continue throughout his presidency, and he has proven that the more people try to accuse him and write negative things about the great progress he is accomplishing and has accomplished already, that just empowers him all the more to keep going on because he cares about people, he has a great love and respect for America, he pledges to make her great again, safe again, etc.
The Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and left’s machine has been and will continue to be in full steam ahead mode to “resist, insist, and persist” and anyone even paying the least bit of attention to the daily onslaught can clearly see what is happening. Just imagine if you can what it would be like if he could get a fair shake and maybe have that percent drop back to a more fair and balanced 50 percent, just how much more our country could come together better and work together to get a better deal for America overall, better security, get the pride of I’m an American back in our hearts and minds again.
The attacks on him, a duly elected President of the United States, voted in by at least half of the country that voted in the 2016 election are relentless. This continual attack from all those that are “out to get him” is actually what is tearing our country apart, because you cannot get Congress to agree on anything. Everything gets gridlocked and it is mostly due to the blinding hate that Trump’s opposition have toward him, they are doing everything to try to destroy him, and that is not a healthy environment in any way, shape or form.
No, Gary and readers of the Times-Union, it is not Trump that is showing lunacy, it is the opposition of Trump by the Anti-Trumpers, those that are out to bring him down, to impeach him, they are the ones that are showing the real Lunacy.
We need President Trump for six more years and then hopefully Vice President Pence will run for president and we can have him for 8 years, 14 years yet of good, honest conservative leadership would help a lot to stop or slow down some of the lunacy that is out to bring our president down and destroy America, her values, her history and forever change her into a country that no one will even recognize any longer.
I have heard it asked, “What kind of country do you want to leave for your children, grandchildren, for future generations?” That choice is up to us all when we pick political parties and go to the voting booth regularly. At this point thank God we still have the privilege to vote and cast our vision for the future America.
