Tenneys Married For 50 Years

Robert and Georgia Tenney of Pierceton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

Robert Tenney and the former Georgia Becker were married Dec. 28, 1968, in Pierceton United Methodist Church. Pastor Henry Urick performed the ceremony.

Bob and Georgia have made their home in Pierceton for their entire married life. Bob retired first from truck driving and then from maintenance at Whitko School Corp. Georgia retired from Whitko School Corp. as a secretary after 33 years.

The Tenneys have three children: Jim Tenney, Warsaw; Leslie Tenney Stapleton, Leesburg; and Rich Tenney, Fort Wayne. They  have 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

They celebrated their anniversary Sunday with their children and families.

Friends are invited to brighten the couple’s special day by sending cards to P.O. Box 451, Pierceton, IN 46562.
