WINONA LAKE – Cam Screeton has decided to resign his post as the head coach of Grace’s baseball team.

Ryan Roth and Tom Roy will serve as interim co-head coaches for the rest of the 2018-19 season.

Screeton cited family and personal reasons for resigning after three years at Grace.

“I have appreciated the opportunity to coach Grace’s baseball program. It has been a period of great growth for me personally and as a coach,” Screeton said. “Stepping away from this position is the right move for my family and me at this time, but I wish the Lancers nothing but success for the future.”

Screeton joined the Lancers as an assistant coach in 2015 and was tabbed as the interim head coach in 2016. The interim tag was removed in 2017, making him the head coach for the 2017-18 season.

"I want to thank Coach Screeton for all he has done for the Grace Baseball program. Coach has had a great impact on the men in the program as well as our campus community," said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe. "Our team culture and program have improved under his leadership. We wish him all the best with his future endeavors."

A national search for Grace’s new head coach will start at the conclusion of the spring season.
