Bourbon Man Held In Stabbing Incident At Goshen Boys, Girls Club

At approximately 5 p.m., Goshen Police Department officers responded to an incident in which a 33-year-old woman had been stabbed at the club, 306 Crescent St., according to a GPD news release.
The suspect, 59-year-old Jorge Rodrigo Lopez Chinchilla, fled the area prior to police arrival but was quickly found about a block away, hiding in an empty house.
Officers took Chinchilla into custody and transported him to the GPD. The Goshen News reports he was jailed on felony counts of battery with a deadly weapon, domestic battery and residential entry and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.
The victim was transported to Goshen General Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries to her legs and hands.
The victim and suspect were known to one another, having been in a relationship, the release states. Goshen News reported Chinchilla and the stabbing victim are parents of a child at the club.
