Joan Marie Tucker Napier is celebrating her 85th birthday today.

She was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Warsaw, one of four children born to Ray and Reba Baum Tucker, Burket.

She married Edward D. Napier on Dec. 7, 1952. They had four children: Malinda Andrews (deceased), Leisa (Robert) Evans, Indianapolis; Bryan (Julie)  Napier, Syracuse; and Gayle (Don) Myers, Pierceton; along with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.     

Joan and Ed started their home in Burket, moved to Syracuse for several years and are retired  in Pierceton. They are members of Pierceton United Methodist Church.

Joan and Ed are celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary on Friday.
