SILVER LAKE — The annual community hog roast and concert is planned for Sunday at South Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Fellowship begins at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. and the Abby Paskvan concert at 6 p.m.
Paskvan, 22, started singing at age 2 and has won numerous national singing awards. Her ministry is to entertain, provide hope and share God‘s message through song.
A freewill offering for Paskvan and donations for missions will be collected. Everyone is welcome.

Meeting Sept. 10 To Explore Catholic Faith
Sacred Heart Church is sponsoring an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) inquiry meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Gathering Space of Sacred Heart Church.
RCIA is a process for those interested in learning about the Catholic faith, for those interested in joining the Catholic church and for any baptized Catholics who have not fully practiced their faith and would like to renew it.

Beef And Noodles Dinner Sept. 7 In Claypool
CLAYPOOL — Claypool United Methodist Church will have a beef and noodles dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 7.
Cost for the meal is $8 for adults, $4 for youth ages 7 to 12, and free for children 6 and younger. Those who bring a canned food item will receive 50 cents off the price of a meal. Carryout will be available.
All proceeds will go to church mission projects.
The church is at 302 E. Section St., Claypool.
Bluegrass, Southern Gospel Concert Sunday
NORTH MANCHESTER — A free bluegrass and southern gospel concert is planned in the gazebo at Warvel Park this weekend.
The concert, which begins at 6 p.m. Sunday, will feature bluegrass group Trinity River Band and southern gospel group the Dotsons. Those who attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the music.
If it rains, the concert will be in the Scout Hall at Warvel Park.
The concert is sponsored by Claypool Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.
The park is at 702 N. Market St., ?North Manchester.
Gospel Group In Concert Saturday, Sunday
The Rescued Gospel singing group from Knoxville, Tenn., will perform this weekend at Warsaw Family Worship Center.
The group will sing at 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A freewill offering will be collected.
