Donald Lee Franklin, 87, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Aug. 22, 2018. He was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Joliet, Ill., the son of the Thomas and Frances Sears Franklin.

Don retired after 42 years with RR Donnelly and Son, was a member of Gallatin Kiwanis Club, foreman of a Sumner County grand jury, and Gallatin First United Methodist Church and choir member.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Franklin.

Don is survived by his wife, Jeanne Franklin; his children: Linda Fetherolf, Calera, Ala.; Steven Franklin (Debbie), New Albany; Scott Franklin (Katrina), Akron; Laura McCarty, Gallatin, Tenn.; two sisters, Louise Blew and Joyce Kozbiel (Fred), both of Winter Haven, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Joyce Franklin, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at Gallatin First United Methodist Church, Gallatin, Tenn., with the Rev. James Johnson and the Rev. Ted Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Gallatin First United Methodist Church. Another visitation will follow after the service at Ramsey Hall.

Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Gallatin, is in charge of arrangements.
