WINONA LAKE – David Lee Vanderpool, 61, Winona Lake, died at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.

He was born March 1, 1957, in Ironton, Ohio, to Margaret Norris  and Darwin Vanderpool.

On Aug. 17, 1985, he was married to Sue Masters Vanderpool, who survives.

David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served honorably from November 1975 to October 1978.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, at  Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Russell Simpson and Pastor Larry McCall. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors conducted by active duty members of the Air Force Honor Guard, American Legion Post 49 and VFW 1126, both of Warsaw.
