The City of Nappanee Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Nappanee City Municipal Center, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this Hearing is to conduct a Public Hearing on Petition #05-18-PLN filed by the owner Amish Acres, LLC, 1600 W. Market St. Nappanee IN by and through its duly authorized agent, Marbach, Brady & Weaver, Inc. 3220 Southview Drive Elkhart, IN 46514.
The petitioner is requesting a Preliminary Plat approval for a 2 lot subdivision to be known as AMISH ACRES MINOR SUBDIVISION.
Legal Description of Property:
Part of the West Half (W1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 36, Township 35 North, Range 4 East, situate in The City of Nappanee, Locke Township, State of Indiana, surveyed by Christian F. Marbach, Registration Number 80880002, with Marbach, Brady & Weaver, Inc. as shown on drawing Number A-30969-002, certified on 7-23-2010 and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a Harrison Monument marking the Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36; Thence South 89 degrees 29 minutes 20 seconds East along the North Line of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36 a distance of 1321.18 feet to an iron pipe marking the Northeast corner of the West Half (W 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36; Thence South 00 degrees 22 minutes 44 seconds West along the East line of the West Half (W 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36 a distance of 2207.93 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 89 degrees 31 minutes 46 seconds West a distance of 508.43 feet to an iron pipe; Thence South 2 degrees 05 minutes 12 seconds West a distance of 32.08 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 89 degrees 31 minutes 46 seconds West a distance of 383.36 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 0 degrees 25 minutes 02 seconds East a distance of 348.25 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 89 degrees 34 minutes 58 seconds West a distance of 282.88 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 0 degrees 25 minutes 02 seconds East a distance of 361.72 feet to an iron pipe; Thence North 89 degrees 34 minutes 58 seconds West a distance of 147.05 feet to a mag nail with washer on the West line of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36; Thence North 0 degrees 25 minutes 02 seconds East along the West line of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section 36 a distance of 1531.35 feet to the Place of Beginning of this Description.

A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee, Indiana, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered.
All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
