Caroline Colleen Harris Shepherd, 73, died July 12, 2018, in Lake Helen, Fla., after a three-year battle with chronic myeloid leukemia.

She was born April 18, 1945, in Warsaw, to Gordon and Dorothy Riggins Harris. She was married to Terry A. Shepherd on March 5, 1980.

She retired from R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw. She lived in the Warsaw area until 2016, when she moved to Lake Helen.

She owned and rode horses most of her life. She loved her dogs, Dolly and Lizzie, and was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed working with wood, her flowers and plants, and going to garage sales — always proud of the treasures she found.

Survivors include her sister, Donna Helton, Warsaw; daughters, Heather Cook Jagger, Warsaw, and Ranielle Harris, Lake Ridge, Va.; stepchildren: Stacey Shepherd, Fort Wayne; Scott (Jennifer) Shepherd, Columbia City; and Shaun (Julie) Shepherd, Claypool; grandsons, Christopher M. Jagger, North Manchester; Andrew Euler, Texas; and Bryce Gellar-Harris, Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Kaitlin Harris, Lake Ridge, Va.; and great-granddaughters, Jaelee and Jaeda Jagger, North Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Merle Harris and Jerry Harris.

She was cremated.
