Led by senior Izzy Ray, the Warsaw Lady Tigers won a three-way girls golf match Thursday at Stonehenge Golf Club.

Ray earned medalist honors with an 89, leading the Lady Tigers to a four-person team score of 383. Chesterton shot 427, while Triton finished with a 491.

Grayson Kilburn was two shots behind her teammate, finishing the day with a 91, while Miriam Hagg and Julia Hildebrand carded 101 and 102, respectively. Madelyn Ray rounded out Warsaw’s varsity lineup with a 105.

Four Warsaw JV players competed, finishing with a total of 417.

Delaney Byron shot 103 for the JV Lady Tigers, while Anna Morgan and Marie Frazzetta both shot 104 and Sydney Lancaster 106.

Alysha May led Triton with a 113, while Maddie Ritchison and Delanie Groves finished at 124 and 125, respectively, and Samantha Edington carded a 129.

Kaitlyn McCoy’s 97 was the best score for Chesterton.

The Lady Tigers are in action again Saturday, as they travel to Kendallville to play in the East Noble Invite at Noble Hawk Golf Links.

Triton plays Whitko Monday at Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester.



Lady Squires 2nd In MHS Invite

NORTH MANCHESTER – Behind a trio of consistent scores, the Manchester Lady Squires finished second among eight teams in the Manchester Invite Thursday at Sycamore Golf Club.

Cora Barnett paced Manchester with an 88, while teammates Kelsey Eichenauer and Sam Kissell both shot 89. As a team, the Lady Squires shot a four-person score of 369.

Madyson Ulrey and Morgan Stroud rounded out Manchester’s lineup at 103 and 109, respectively.

Northridge won the team title at 360, followed by Manchester, Lakeland (385), Lapel (388), Bremen (398), Wabash (411), West Noble (414) and Marion (472).

Lapel’s Kristen Hobbs was the medalist after shooting an 80, beating runner-up Bella Carrillo of Wabash by four strokes.

The Lady Squires host Wawasee Monday at 4:30 p.m.
