Ellie Snep Tosses Perfect Game; Whitko Routs Valley
AKRON – The Whitko softball team won 20-0 over Tippecanoe Valley in the consolation game of the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Wildcats had 16 hits and forced Valley to commit six errors. They scored 13 runs in the second inning to break the game open.
Ellie Snep threw a perfect game. To help her cause, she had two triples and a double.
Shi Bradley had three hits and Emmy Duggins had a double and two singles. Kayce Sims had a triple and a single.
Whitko fell 7-4 to Northwestern in the first round, while Fort Wayne Concordia beat Valley 14-1.
Whitko hosts Wabash tonight and the Lady Vikings travel to Manchester.

Lady Tigers Fall Twice To Huntington North
The Warsaw softball team lost 2-1 and 12-0 to Huntington North in a doubleheader on Saturday.
In the first game, Courtney Chookie took the loss. She pitched seven innings, struck out six and walked one batter.
Carmen Albertson had two hits to lead the Lady Tigers.
Kennedy Tennant took the loss in the second game for Warsaw. She allowed 12 runs on 11 hits.
Adara Frey, Chookie and Tennant each tallied one hit for the Lady Tigers.
Warsaw plays at home tonight against Elkhart Memorial at 5:30 p.m.
John Glenn Wins Twice Over Tippecanoe Valley
WALKERTON – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team lost 10-0 and 13-3 to John Glenn on Saturday in a doubleheader.
In the first game, the Vikings were one-hit and struck out seven times. Drew Hartman had the base hit and tallied a stolen base.
Jaxon Torpy took the loss for Valley. He pitched 2-2/3 innings and struck out two batters and allowed two hits.
In the second contest, Valley improved and had seven hits. Ethan Yates earned three hits and had two RBIs. Adam Myers had a double.
Hartman took the loss after allowing nine runs, six hits and three walks in one inning.
The Vikings play at Manchester tonight for a Three Rivers Conference showdown. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.

Squires Lose To Eagles
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester baseball team lost 3-1 to Churubusco on Saturday.
The Squires broke up the no hitter after a hit by Jeremiah Airgood in the fourth inning. Noah Beck tallied the other hit.
Hayes Sturtsman drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth.
Manchester hosts Tippecanoe Valley tonight for a Three Rivers Conference matchup.
Whitko, Valley Compete At Wabash Invitational
WABASH – The Whitko and Tippecanoe Valley girls tennis teams competed at the Wabash Invitational on Saturday. Wabash finished first, Whitko second and Valley ended third.
The Lady Wildcats lost to Wabash and defeated Valley at the Invite. Jackie Werstler placed first at No. 1 singles with two victories. She won 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 against Wabash. She defeated Valley’s Lea Stouder 6-0, 6-2.
Whitko’s Natalie Iholtz lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 against Wabash at No. 2 singles. She won 6-2, 6-1 over the Lady Viking’s Makayla Sandbakkan. Kayla Schipper split both her matches at No. 3 singles. Both doubles split their matches for Whitko.
The Lady Vikings’ doubles pair of Kaleigh Shumaker and Morgan Gilbertson won 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) over Whitko in No. 1 doubles action. This was Valley’s only win at the event.
The Lady Wildcats play at Southwood tonight. The Lady Vikings compete at Rochester tonight.
Lady Trojans Finish Eighth At Concord Invitational
DUNLAP – Triton finished eighth at the Concord Girls Tennis Invitational on Saturday.
The No. 1 doubles pair of Megan McFarland and Emma Hepler won 6-4, 6-3 over Lakeland. They lost to Elkhart Central and Jimtown.
The No. 2 doubles duo of Ivy Powell and Lexia Hostrawser lost to Marian and West Noble, but beat LaVille 7-6 (5), 6-4.
The Lady Trojans play at Bethany Christian tonight at 5 p.m.
Warsaw Netters Compete At Delta Tournament
MUNCIE – The Warsaw Lady Tiger tennis team played at the Delta Tournament on Saturday. In the first match, Warsaw won 5-0 over Muncie Burris. The team then fell 5-0 to Carroll.
The Lady Tigers’ Liza Lewis won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles against Muncie Burris. Ella Knight won 6-4, 6-1 and Alyssa Zellers won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Taylor Shoaf and Rachel Yeager won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles and Rachel Boyle and Amy Herendeen won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Lewis lost 6-2, 6-3 in Warsaw’s closest match against Carroll.
The Lady Tigers travel to NorthWood on Tuesday for a Northern Lakes Conference match.

Wawasee Hosts Golf Invitational
SYRACUSE – Wawasee held the Wawasee Golf Invitational on Saturday at South Shore Golf Club. Chesterton won the team event with a 310, after having to go to a fifth-man tiebreaker.
Warsaw finished in third, Wawasee ended in sixth, Manchester was eighth and Whitko finished 10th.
The Tigers were led by Tommy Meier, who shot a 78 and finished tied for sixth at the match. Jacob LaLonde carded an 80 and Chase Byron finished with an 82. Sam Yeager (85) and Luke Delp (93) rounded out the golfers for Warsaw.
Zach Leedy (84) was the top golfer for the Warriors. Evan Dippon and Dillon Drake both finished with a 91. Luke Weisser fired a 97 and Jared Krugman shot a 103.
Manchester’s Harley Krushwitz shot a 75 and finished third at the event individually. Nathan Self shot a 89 and Konrad Borgmann shot a 97. Klayton Hendrix (104) and Logan Parrett (108) rounded out the golfers for the Squires.
For the Wildcats, Dale Reiff led the team with a 93. Kaleb Busz (94) and Cade Bechtold (95) followed closely behind their teammate. Kylar Bryant shot a 104 and John Strayer fired a 116.
Manchester hosts West Noble tonight at Sycamore Golf Course at 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Whitko competes at Manchester and Warsaw hosts the Joe Harris Shootout. Wawasee is at Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday.
Brouyette Leads Valley At Rochester Golf Invite
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team ended in 12th place at the Rochester Golf Invitational on Saturday.
Culver Academies won the event with a 329 and Valley shot a 447.
Cade Brouyette shot an 81 to lead the Vikings and finished tied for fourth at the event.
Carter Kistler tallied a 105 and Corey Fincher had a 123. Bryce Madeford (138) and Billy Gillman (140) rounded out the golfers for Valley.
The Vikings host Wawasee on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. match.
