NORTH WEBSTER — Raymond O. “Jackie” Whitridge, 83, Pierceton, passed away at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

He was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Fort Wayne, to Raymond J. and Corine M. Gunkel Whitridge.

He grew up in Fort Wayne and lived most of his life in the North Webster/Pierceton area. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Fort Wayne.

He was married on Sept. 17, 1966, to Audrie E. Collins; she survives.

He was a United States Army veteran, and he retired in June 1990 from General Electric, Fort Wayne, as a machinist for 36 years.

He was raised in the Catholic Church and was a private pilot.

He is survived by his wife, Audrie Whitridge, Pierceton; two daughters, Belinda (Robert) Yagel, Columbia City, and Brenda (Robert) Smits, North Webster; a son, William (Rebecca) Whitridge, Syracuse; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister – Mary Ann Hill, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and a brother, William Whitridge, Laverne, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Dailey of North Webster United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of North Webster Cemetery.
