He was born July 11, 1947, in Peru, to Karl H. Sr. and Pauline Beasey Hartisch. On Dec. 23, 1966, in Logansport, he married Jacqueline "Jackie" Sheets. She survives.
Karl served with the United States Navy as a Sea-Bee during the Vietnam War.
He had worked at Othy in Warsaw.
A celebration of his life will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
A private family graveside service is planned at Marion National Cemetery.
