He was born Aug. 24, 1919, in Fort Wayne, to Walter and Terzah Alshouse DeTurk. On Aug. 19, 1943, he was married to Joan Lucille Couts. She died March 14, 1967. Clarence married Bernice Spigutz in 1968. She died in September 1992. On June 6, 2016, he married Dixie Walrath. She survives.
Clarence served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was decorated with two Purple Hearts and three Bronze Stars.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with full military rites conducted by American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 1126 and active duty members of the Army Honor Guard.
