DENVER – The Mancheser Squire baseball team won 9-0 at Three Rivers Conference foe North Miami on Monday.
Manchester’s Grant Strobel secured the win on the mound. He struck out 14 batters, had one walk and allowed four hits. He also had two hits and one RBI at the plate for the Squires (2-3, 1-1 TRC).
The Squires’ Jeremiah Airgood had two hits and two RBIs. Hayes Sturtsman added an RBI and two hits.
Manchester plays Whitko on Wednesday. The game is at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne.

Carter Woody pitched a complete game for Wawasee. He allowed six hits and four earned runs.
Jairus Boyer had two base hits for the Warriors. He had a double and three RBIs. Jacob Garcia drove in four runs and scored twice.

WABASH – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team lost 11-1 at Southwood on Monday.
Valley (2-4, 0-2 TRC) was 10-run ruled and the game ended in five innings by the mercy rule.
The Vikings tallied two hits, one each by Tucker Shull and Layne Prater.
Valley gave up seven hits in the Three Rivers Conference contest.
Ethan Yates took the loss for the Vikings. He struck out two batters and gave up three earned runs.

BOURBON – Triton baseball lost 11-10 in eight innings against Bethany Christian on Monday.
The Trojans (3-5) scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game at six to force extra innings.
The Bruins (2-2) scored five runs in the top of the eighth to claim a large lead. Triton came back and plated four runs, but was not enough to win.
Triton’s Ryan Kaufman had four hits and three RBIs. Delano Shumpert had two hits and hit in two runners. Max Slusser had two hits in the leadoff spot.

The Warsaw baseball team fell 8-3 to NorthWood on Monday in a Northern Lakes conference game.
Warsaw (2-7, 0-4 NLC) had a 3-1 lead headed into the bottom of the fourth inning and gave up three runs. The following inning NorthWood (7-1, 3-0 NLC) tacked on three more runs and added another insurance run in the sixth.
Tigers Jared Hawley and Michael Nunez each tallied two hits.
The Tigers host Northridge on Wednesday.

SYRACUSE – The Wawasee softball team let an early 8-1 lead slip away to Northridge on Monday. The Lady Raiders ended up winning 14-9 in the Northern Lakes Conference matchup.
Northridge (3-3, 2-1 NLC) scored eight runs in the top of the fifth and added four insurace runs in the top of the seventh.
Bethany Flannery pitched all seven innings for the Lady Warriors (4-7, 0-3 NLC). She had four earned runs and struck out six.
Wawasee’s Danielle Jenkins and Graceanne Kerlin tallied two hits each. Both of Kerlin’s hits were doubles.

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester girls tennis team won 4-1 against Rochester on Monday in a Three Rivers Conference match.
After an hour rain delay, Lydia Little won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. She had a 4-1 lead in each set before securing the win.
Lady Squires’ Halley Briner had no trouble winning in the first set at No. 2 singles as she won 6-0. She won the second set 7-5.
Eva Bazzoni and Kendra Auler won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Rebekah Pyle and Lauren Metzger won the opening set 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, before winning the deciding set 6-3.

Katherine Ousley and Izzy Rayner claimed a team point by winning 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.

Wawasee Golfers Finish Second
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys golf team competed against Fairfield and West Noble on Monday at South Shore Golf Course. Fairfield won 173, Wawasee finished second with 199 and West Noble was third with 207.
Zach Leedy led the Warriors with a 46 and Evan Dipper shot a 49. Luke Weisser and Tyler Bosstick both carded a 52. Dillon Drake rounded out the golfers for Wawasee with a 58.
The junior varsity team shot a 211 to finish behind Fairfield (194).
Wawasee hosts Manchester, Whitko and South Bend Riley on Thursday at South Shore.

Manchester Tennis Routs Rochester
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester girls tennis team won 4-1 against Rochester on Monday in a Three Rivers Conference match.
After an hour rain delay, Lydia Little won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. She had a 4-1 lead in each set before securing the win.
Lady Squires’ Halley Briner had no trouble winning in the first set at No. 2 singles as she won 6-0. She won the second set 7-5.
Eva Bazzoni and Kendra Auler won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Rebekah Pyle and Lauren Metzger won the opening set 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, before winning the deciding set 6-3.
Kelsey Eichenauer lost 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles.
Manchester hosts No. 17 Homestead on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

For Triton (4-0, 1-0 HNAC), Kolbie Mason won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Hannah Wanemacher and Emma Rose won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Megan McFarland and Emma Hepler won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Whiko Netters Trim Columbia City
SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko girls tennis team defeated Columbia City 3-2 Monday night.
Whitko’s Jackie Werstler won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Kayla Schipper won 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) in the No. 3 singles slot.
Katherine Ousley and Izzy Rayner claimed a team point by winning 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
The Lady Wildcats are back on the court on Thursday at Wabash.
Wawasee Golfers Finish Second
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys golf team competed against Fairfield and West Noble on Monday at South Shore Golf Course. Fairfield won 173, Wawasee finished second with 199 and West Noble was third with 207.
Zach Leedy led the Warriors with a 46 and Evan Dipper shot a 49. Luke Weisser and Tyler Bosstick both carded a 52. Dillon Drake rounded out the golfers for Wawasee with a 58.
The junior varsity team shot a 211 to finish behind Fairfield (194).
Wawasee hosts Manchester, Whitko and South Bend Riley on Thursday at South Shore.
