It is both a privilege and an honor for me to endorse William "Rocky'' Goshert for Kosciusko County sheriff.

I have known Rocky for many years, all the way back when his dad, Bill Goshert, coached football for the Warsaw Tigers in the early 1960s. Rocky went on to serve the Indiana State Police and then our county as a patrol officer, resource officer for Wawasee High School and as our sheriff. I have been very impressed with his dedication to the people of his home state and his county.

I have had the opportunity to visit the county jail many times to encourage the inmates through the jail ministry and as a Gideon. I can tell you, without a doubt, Rocky believes in the jail ministry and how much it makes a positive difference in the atmosphere inside. The spirit of cooperation and caring between the jail staff and those who go in to minister to the people inside those walls is a direct reflection on Rocky's respect for what we try to accomplish while there.

This May you have an opportunity to vote for someone who understands the position of county sheriff, as a member of this community for most of his life, and as someone who administratively has the experience necessary to discharge those duties effectively. That person is Rocky Goshert!

The Lawless Party
Editor, Times-Union: Democrats have a long history of supporting lawlessness and they have the nerve to say no one is above the law. At times they act like spoiled children that expect to get their way all the time even if they have been naughty.
