Susan Johnson, a resident at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw, enjoys the presence of Mitzie, a cat from The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, during a pet therapy session recently. Volunteers from AWL often bring animals to retirement homes and rehabilitation centers around the county for pet therapy and is considered a simple way to provide the affection of an animal to those who cannot easily access pets.
