Warsaw Golf Beats Homestead; Luke Delp Medals
The Warsaw Tiger golf team won 161-173 against Homestead at Stonehenge Golf Club Thursday evening.
Warsaw’s Luke Delp was the medalist with a score of 36. Sam Yeager shot a 40 and was followed by teammate Zach LaLonde with a 41.
Tommy Meier and Chase Byron both tallied a 44. Jacob LaLonde rounded out the Tigers with a 46.
The junior varsity team won 202-202 over the Spartans.
Warsaw visits Sandy Pines Golf Course on Saturday for the Lake Central Invitational.
Valley Ends Second At Caston Golf Match
FULTON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team competed against Caston and North Miami on Thursday. North Miami won with a 212 and the Vikings finished second with a 237.
Valley’s Cade Brouyette was the medalist at the meet. He shot a 42. Carter Kistler had a 56 and Corey Fincher shot a 62.
Mason Purvas (77) and Billy Gillman (78) rounded out the golfers for the Vikings.
Valley hosts Culver Community on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m
Triton Netters Win Against Rochester
BOURBON – The Triton girls tennis team defeated Rochester 4-1 on Thursday.
Kolbie Mason won 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 1 singles position. Amanda Baker lost the first set 6-3, but won the next two 6-3, 7-6 (3) to claim the team point at No. 3 singles.
Molly McFarland lost at the No. 3 singles slot. She won the second set 6-4.
The No. 1 doubles pair of Hannah Wanemacher and Emma Ross won 6-0, 6-2. The No. 2 doubles pair of Megan McFarland and Emma Hepler won their matchup 6-0, 6-4.
The Lady Trojans travel to LaVille on Tuesday fora 4:30 p.m. contest.

Liza Lewis won 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 1 singles for the Lady Tigers. Ella Knight won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. At the No. 3 singles spot, Alyssa Zellers won 6-3, 6-1.
Libby Jenkins and Taylor Shoaf tallied a team point at No. 1 doubles by winning 6-1, 6-2. The No. 2 doubles pair of Reagan Merchant and Rachel Yeager lost 6-4, 6-3.

SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko girls tennis team won 5-0 over Tippecanoe Valley in a Three Rivers Conference matchup.
The Lady Wildcats didn’t lose a single set during the match.
Jackie Werstler (No. 1), Natalie Iholtz (No. 2) and Kayla Schipper (No. 3) were all winners in the singles contests.
The Lady Vikings compete at the Bremen Tournament on Saturday. Whitko visits Triton tonight for a rescheduled match from April 17.

Whitko Wildcats Lose At New Haven
NEW HAVEN – The Whitko baseball team fell to New Haven 16-6 on Thursday in five innings.
The Wildcats (1-5) jumped to a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Bulldogs (6-3) tallied five runs in their half of the inning.
Whitko was able to score four runs in the top of the third inning and added one in the fourth to make it 7-6 New Haven.
The Bulldogs closed the game by scoring nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings to make it a 10-run rule and secure the win.
The Wildcats travel to Lakeland tonight for a 5:30 p.m. nonconference matchup.

Pioneer Defeats Valley On Walkoff
ROYAL CENTER – The Tippecanoe Valley baseball team lost 11-10 on a walkoff to Pioneer on Thursday.
The Vikings (1-3) tied the game at 10 in the seventh by plating three runs.
The Panthers (2-3) scored a run by facing only three pitches in the inning.
Tanner Trippiedi took the loss. He had two hits and a double for Valley in the leadoff spot. He tallied two RBIs.
Drew Hartman had three RBIs for the Vikings on two hits.
Valley visits Taylor on Saturday.

BOURBON – The Triton Trojan baseball team won 17-7 in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference contest against Culver on Thursday.
The Trojans (3-2, 2-0 HNAC) scored 12 runs in the first two innings and five more in the next two to end the game in five innings.
Max Slusser led the team with three hits and drove in two runners. Ryan Kaufman tallied three RBIs with a base hit.
Lucas Newman threw three innings for Triton and took the win.
The Trojans play at Pioneer on Saturday for a conference game.
