Items Sought For Annual Tent Sale

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is seeking gently used items for its annual tent sale.  

The church will accept household goods, furniture, sports equipment, toys, books, boats, cars, appliances, clothing, pictures, etc.

TVs and computer monitors will not be accepted.

This year’s tent sale will be June 6-8 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds.

All proceeds will go toward St. Anne’s outreach programs.



Soup And Salad Buffet Planned Sunday

NORTH MANCHESTER —  A soup and salad buffet lunch is planned from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at North Manchester Congregational Christian Church.

A variety of soups will be available for a freewill donation.  

Proceeds from this event will go to the benevolence fund, which provides financial assistance for community needs, including medical needs.

Whitko Gospel Choir At Pierceton UMC

PIERCETON — Whitko Gospel Choir will perform Sunday at Pierceton United Methodist Church.  

The high school students will “open up their hearts to the Lord through testimony and song.” All are welcome.

The service is at 9 a.m.

The church is at 502 N. First St., Pierceton, and is handicapped-accessible.

Parking is in the back.  



National Day Of Prayer Planned May 3

WINONA LAKE — The National Day of Prayer event for Kosciusko County will be from noon to 1 p.m. May 3 at the Winona Heritage Room, 901 Park Ave., Winona Lake.  

The event will be hosted by the National Day of Prayer Committee of Kosciusko County and the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association.

All-You-Can-Eat Country Breakfast Saturday

Warsaw Family Worship Center is having an all-you-can-eat country breakfast Saturday.  

The meal will include biscuits and gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fried apples and pancakes with syrup, along with milk, orange juice and coffee. Carry-outs will be available.

Donations will be taken at the door.

The breakfast is from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, 1250 Husky Trail, next to Martin's Super Market.

Spring Fling Craft Show Is Saturday

Touch of Life Church will have a Spring Fling Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

More than 20 vendors and crafters will be featured. The craft show will also include a bake sale, and lunch will be served.

The church is at 2339 Old 30W, Warsaw.



Rummage, Bake Sale Friday, Saturday

Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church will have its spring rummage and bake sale this week.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The sale will be in the church gym.

Proceeds will be divided with mission groups and community outreach.

The church is at 210 S. High St., Warsaw.



‘Just Ask Joyce’ At Men Following Christ

WINONA LAKE — Joyce Oglesby, the “family life fix-it pro,” will be the featured speaker at the Men Following Christ meeting April 28.

Oglesby is host of “Just Ask Joyce,” as seen on television networks in Indiana and Kentucky. She is the author of family-related books, a regular columnist for Today’s Woman and Today’s Family magazines, and a regular contributor to radio stations across the United States. She says life as a pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother and entrepreneur as a court reporter has enhanced her expertise and passion as she mentors individuals and couples to preserve the family unit. Men Following Christ meets from 8 to 10 a.m. the last Saturday of the month at Alpha Dining Hall at Grace College. The meeting is open to all men looking to grow in their walk in Jesus Christ. Breakfast is served at no cost to those who attend.

Revival April 22-25 At Highway To Heaven

Evangelist Bill Summers from Indianapolis will speak at revival meetings Sunday through Wednesday at God’s Highway to Heaven Church.

The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The church is at 555 Webber St., Warsaw.



Port-A-Pit Fundraisers Planned April 27-28

His Hands & Feet International is planning Port-A-Pit  fundraisers in support of two mission trips.

The fundraisers will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or sold out April 27-28 in the parking lot of JB’s Furniture, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Offerings will include chicken for $7.25, barbecue ribs for $8.50, pork chops for $7.25 and Pit-Tatoes for $4.25

Fried Amish pies will be available April 28 for $4 each or three for $10.

Money raised April 27 will go toward a Kentucky mission trip, while funds raised April 28 will support a trip to Africa.



Trinity’s Annual Rummage Sale April 27-28

Trinity United Methodist Church will have its annual rummage sale April 27-28.

The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 and 8 a.m. to noon April 28.

The church is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.



Voice Of The Martyrs Speaker April 29

SILVER LAKE — Dale Davis from Voice of the Martyrs will share a message of hope at 10:10 a.m. April 29 at South Pleasant United Methodist Church.

VOM works to bring awareness and political pressure to rescue men, women and children who are tortured and persecuted for their faith.

Everyone is welcome to the service, and to stay for a taco lunch afterward and visit with Davis.

The church on Ind. 15, 3 miles south of Silver Lake.



Baked Steak Dinner Planned For Friday

NORTH MANCHESTER — North Manchester United Methodist Church is planning a baked steak dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 7-12. Carry-out will be available.

God's Highway to Heaven Church is having a rummage sale today through Saturday.

The sale will feature items from church members and 12 other families. Items will be on sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Items will be “priced to sell.”

Bake sale items also will available, and hot food will be sold from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mentone UMC Offers Addiction Counseling

MENTONE — “A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope” is offered each Wednesday at Mentone United Methodist Church.

The program for those battling addiction is offered from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a meal provided at 6 p.m. There is no cost to attend.

The church says the program offers a “judgment-free safe zone” where people can be honest, and no one is condemned.
