AKRON — Dolores L. Sriver, 98, North Manchester, formerly of Akron, died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, where she resided.

She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Akron, to Lloyd H. and Irene Holz Haldeman. On Sept. 28, 1940, in Akron, she was married to Garland F. Sriver. He preceded on July 2, 2002.

She had been an abstractor working at Deamer & Deamer, Rochester, and her family was her life’s work.

She was a 1938 graduate of Akron High School. She had been a longtime member of Akron United Methodist Church.  She also was a member of the Amicus Club and enjoyed playing bridge and euchre. She loved to cook and maintained a spotless kitchen. She enjoyed hosting her family for many Sunday and holiday meals.

Survivors include her daughters, Marsha (husband Gary) Parker, Monroe, Mich., and Kathy (husband Joe) Michel, Milan, Ill.; grandchildren: Penny (husband Rick) Kirkpatrick, Christopher (wife Kathy) Parker, Lori (husband Anthony) Crupi and Kelly Weld; and great-grandchildren, Anna and Max Kirkpatrick, and Eli and Serena Crupi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland F. Sriver; sister, Sarah Frances Miller; and brother, Howard Haldeman.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. The Rev. Sue Babovec of Peabody Retirement Community will officiate. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in Hartzler Funeral Home.
