F. Earl Montel, 91, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ when he died at 11 a.m. April 12, 2018, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Sept. 7, 1926, in North Manchester, to Artie R. Montel and  Bertha Beigh Montel.

He was the owner-operator of Montel Livestock Equipment for 30 years, and retired in 1992.

On Jan. 11, 1948, he married Phyllis E. Bolinger, who died Aug. 6, 2013.

He graduated from Leesburg High School in 1944 and was a member of Gideons International since 1962.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Sue (Walter) Burns, North Manchester, and Kathy Ann (Charles) Douglass, North Manchester; three sisters: Bernice Fisher, Syracuse; Betty Yoder, Goshen; and Barbara (Gene) Rarick, New Paris; grandchildren: Shelly Leifer (David) Cunningham, North Manchester; Greg (Jill) Caudill, Fort Wayne; Chad Allen, North Manchester; Amy Jo Allen, Goshen; Shane (Kim) Burns, Wabash; Doug (Andrea) Douglass, Huntington; and Brian (Sara) Douglass, Huntington; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester. Calling will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at the church. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Arrangements entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
