Manchester Girls Tennis Claims Three Rivers Victory
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Lady Squires tennis team swept Wabash 5-0 on Thursday to claim the Three Rivers Conference victory.
Kelsey Eichenauer at No. 1 singles and Halle Briner at No. 2 singles won with their matches with the same score; 6-2, 6-1.
Lydia Little didn’t lose a game in the No. 3 singles matchup, winning 6-0, 6-0.
In the closest match of the day, the No. 1 doubles pair of Kendra Auler and Eva Bazzoni won 7-5, 6-4. Erika Kendall and Lauren Metzger secured the sweep by winning 6-2, 6-3 in No. 2 singles play.
Manchester is back on the court on Tuesday, as the team hosts Maconaquah at 5 p.m.

SYRACUSE – The Wawasee girls tennis team won 3-2 over Goshen on Thursday in Northern Lakes Conference action.
Kendra Doerr won 6-4, 6-1 in straight sets at No. 1 singles to claim a point for the Lady Warriors (1-1).

Kayla Schipper was victorious at No. 3 singles with a score of 7-6 (7-3) 6-2.
Whitko is back in action on Saturday at the South Side Invitational at Swinney Park in Fort Wayne. The match begins at 8:30 a.m.

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester softball team registered its first win of the season on Thursday. The Lady Squires (1-3) defeated Central Noble 7-3.
Torina Runkel threw seven innings for Manchester, striking out three Lady Cougar (1-3) batters.
Carsyn Howard ripped two hits and had two RBIs in the contest.
The Lady Squires had seven hits as a team, while holding Central Noble to two hits.
Manchester travels to Wawasee tonight for a nonconference showdown. First pitch is at 5 p.m.

Valley Loses To Winamac
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley softball team fell 16-4 to Winamac Thursday.
Sydney Howard and Kirstyn Yoder each had two hits for the Lady Vikings (0-3). Yoder had three RBIs in the contest.
Winamac (4-0) didn’t strike out once during the game, while Valley was sent back to the dugout on four occasions.
The Lady Vikings tallied two stolen bases on the only two attempts in the game.
The team plays at Plymouth tonight at 5 p.m.

Spencer Sroufe pushed the lead to one in the bottom of the fifth with a sacrifice fly.
Austin Hollowell had a double for Whitko, and Kyle Knutson and Evan Wilson were in the hit column as well for the team.

Wawasee Rallies To Win At Columbia City
COLUMBIA CITY – A fifth-inning rally lifted the Wawasee baseball team to an 8-6 win over Columbia City Thursday evening.
The Warriors (2-1) were held scoreless in the first four innings by Eagle (0-3) pitchers.
In the fifth inning, Wawasee scored all eight of its runs. Levi Brown and Zak Linnemeier knocked in two runs each. Kameron Salazar and Jairus Boyer each had a RBI to help the cause.
Carter Woody pitched five innings and struck out four batters to earn the win. Jacob Garcia tallied the save by pitching the final two innings and allowed just one hit.
The Warriors play at East Noble tonight in a nonconference clash.

Manchester Wins Boys, Girls Track & Field Meet
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley boys and girls track and field teams competed against one another on Thursday. Manchester won the boys meet 90-33 and the Lady Squires won 70-49.
Isaiah Davis won the long and high jump for Manchester. He soared 19 feet, 5-1/2 in the long jump and cleared a height of 6 feet, two inches in the high jump.
Monty Pattison won the 110 and 300-meter hurdle events for the Squires.
Jameson Baker finished first in the discus and shot put for the Vikings.
Jaelyn Webb won the 800 and 1600-meter races for the Lady Squires. Kailea Kerr finished first in the 100 and 400-meter dashes.
Alyssa Brito won the 200-meter sprint and long jump for the Lady Vikings.

Triton Hosts Culver, Winamac In Track
BOURBON – The Triton boys and girls track and field teams hosted Winamac and Culver on Thursday. Triton finished third in the boys and second in the girls meet.
The boys finished with 21 points and the girls tallied 50.
The Lady Trojans had four first-place finishes. Abigail Powell won the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash. Jaela Faulkner won the pole vault. Charlotte Morris won the discus.
Josiah Paige finished second in the 300-meter hurdles for the boys. The 4x800-meter relay finished second.

WABASH – The Whitko boys golf team won 186-194 over Southwood on Thursday.
Cade Bechtold had the best score for the Wildcats (2-1) with a 41. Dale Reiff had a 45 and Kaleb Busz scored a 48.
Jonathan Strayer (51), Kyler Brant (60) and Storm Baldridge (71) rounded out the scoring for Whitko.
The Wildcats hit the links again on Saturday at the Fort Wayne Northrop Invitational. Tee time is set for 9 a.m.
FORT WAYNE – Fort Wayne Canterbury defeated the Warsaw boys golf team on Thursday by a score of 170-176.
Tommy Meier shot a 40 to led the Tigers. Luke Delp (43), Sam Yeager (44), Jacob LaLonde (49) and Zach LaLonde (49) followed in the scoring for Warsaw.
The Tigers host the Don Dicken Invitational on Saturday at Stonehenge Golf Club.
Triton Golf Stays Perfect
CULVER – The Triton boys golf team kept its perfect record going, as it beat Culver 167-224 on Thursday.
Beau Hepler led all golfers with a 38. Chase Butler followed behind his teammate with a 41.
Issac Wall, Keegan Westafer and Carter Kuntz all shot a 44 for the Trojans (3-0).
Triton competes at the Don Dicken Invitational on Saturday hosted by Warsaw. The meet will be held at Stonehenge.
Valley Golf Competes With CMA, Rochester
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team played against Culver Academies and Rochester on Thursday. CMA won with a 173, Rochester was second and Valley finished third.
Cade Brouyette led all Viking golfers with a 44. Mason Purvis shot a 64.
The team is back on the course Saturday at the Michigan City Marquette Tournament.

Wawasee Picks Up NLC Win Over Goshen
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee girls tennis team won 3-2 over Goshen on Thursday in Northern Lakes Conference action.
Kendra Doerr won 6-4, 6-1 in straight sets at No. 1 singles to claim a point for the Lady Warriors (1-1).
Elizabeth Kleopfer tallied a win at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-0, 6-2. The No. 2 doubles pair of Kabrea Rostochak and Courtney Larson won 6-0, 6-2.
Wawasee competes at the Jimtown Invitational on Saturday.

WABASH – The Whitko girls tennis team lost a close match to Northfield on Thursday by a score of 3-2.
Jackie Werstler won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the Lady Wildcats.
Kayla Schipper was victorious at No. 3 singles with a score of 7-6 (7-3) 6-2.
Whitko is back in action on Saturday at the South Side Invitational at Swinney Park in Fort Wayne. The match begins at 8:30 a.m.

Manchester Earns First Win Of Season
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester softball team registered its first win of the season on Thursday. The Lady Squires (1-3) defeated Central Noble 7-3.
Torina Runkel threw seven innings for Manchester, striking out three Lady Cougar (1-3) batters.
Carsyn Howard ripped two hits and had two RBIs in the contest.
The Lady Squires had seven hits as a team, while holding Central Noble to two hits.
Manchester travels to Wawasee tonight for a nonconference showdown. First pitch is at 5 p.m.

Valley Loses To Winamac
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley softball team fell 16-4 to Winamac Thursday.
Sydney Howard and Kirstyn Yoder each had two hits for the Lady Vikings (0-3). Yoder had three RBIs in the contest.
Winamac (4-0) didn’t strike out once during the game, while Valley was sent back to the dugout on four occasions.
The Lady Vikings tallied two stolen bases on the only two attempts in the game.
The team plays at Plymouth tonight at 5 p.m.

Spencer Sroufe pushed the lead to one in the bottom of the fifth with a sacrifice fly.
Austin Hollowell had a double for Whitko, and Kyle Knutson and Evan Wilson were in the hit column as well for the team.

Wawasee Rallies To Win At Columbia City
COLUMBIA CITY – A fifth-inning rally lifted the Wawasee baseball team to an 8-6 win over Columbia City Thursday evening.
The Warriors (2-1) were held scoreless in the first four innings by Eagle (0-3) pitchers.
In the fifth inning, Wawasee scored all eight of its runs. Levi Brown and Zak Linnemeier knocked in two runs each. Kameron Salazar and Jairus Boyer each had a RBI to help the cause.
Carter Woody pitched five innings and struck out four batters to earn the win. Jacob Garcia tallied the save by pitching the final two innings and allowed just one hit.
The Warriors play at East Noble tonight in a nonconference clash.

Manchester Wins Boys, Girls Track & Field Meet
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley boys and girls track and field teams competed against one another on Thursday. Manchester won the boys meet 90-33 and the Lady Squires won 70-49.
Isaiah Davis won the long and high jump for Manchester. He soared 19 feet, 5-1/2 in the long jump and cleared a height of 6 feet, two inches in the high jump.
Monty Pattison won the 110 and 300-meter hurdle events for the Squires.
Jameson Baker finished first in the discus and shot put for the Vikings.
Jaelyn Webb won the 800 and 1600-meter races for the Lady Squires. Kailea Kerr finished first in the 100 and 400-meter dashes.
Alyssa Brito won the 200-meter sprint and long jump for the Lady Vikings.

Triton Hosts Culver, Winamac In Track
BOURBON – The Triton boys and girls track and field teams hosted Winamac and Culver on Thursday. Triton finished third in the boys and second in the girls meet.
The boys finished with 21 points and the girls tallied 50.
The Lady Trojans had four first-place finishes. Abigail Powell won the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash. Jaela Faulkner won the pole vault. Charlotte Morris won the discus.
Josiah Paige finished second in the 300-meter hurdles for the boys. The 4x800-meter relay finished second.
Triton is at Knox on Wednesday. The meet starts at 5:30 p.m.

Bechtold Shoots 45, Leads Whitko Golf
WABASH – The Whitko boys golf team won 186-194 over Southwood on Thursday.
Cade Bechtold had the best score for the Wildcats (2-1) with a 41. Dale Reiff had a 45 and Kaleb Busz scored a 48.
Jonathan Strayer (51), Kyler Brant (60) and Storm Baldridge (71) rounded out the scoring for Whitko.
The Wildcats hit the links again on Saturday at the Fort Wayne Northrop Invitational. Tee time is set for 9 a.m.
FORT WAYNE – Fort Wayne Canterbury defeated the Warsaw boys golf team on Thursday by a score of 170-176.
Tommy Meier shot a 40 to led the Tigers. Luke Delp (43), Sam Yeager (44), Jacob LaLonde (49) and Zach LaLonde (49) followed in the scoring for Warsaw.
The Tigers host the Don Dicken Invitational on Saturday at Stonehenge Golf Club.
Triton Golf Stays Perfect
CULVER – The Triton boys golf team kept its perfect record going, as it beat Culver 167-224 on Thursday.
Beau Hepler led all golfers with a 38. Chase Butler followed behind his teammate with a 41.
Issac Wall, Keegan Westafer and Carter Kuntz all shot a 44 for the Trojans (3-0).
Triton competes at the Don Dicken Invitational on Saturday hosted by Warsaw. The meet will be held at Stonehenge.
Valley Golf Competes With CMA, Rochester
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team played against Culver Academies and Rochester on Thursday. CMA won with a 173, Rochester was second and Valley finished third.
Cade Brouyette led all Viking golfers with a 44. Mason Purvis shot a 64.
The team is back on the course Saturday at the Michigan City Marquette Tournament.
