Pat T. Parks, 83, Syracuse, died at 2:06 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Avalon Village Nursing Care, Ligonier, after a brief stay.

He was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Wabash, to Patrick J. and Maude Christman Parks; he was raised by his mother and “Daddy,” Maude and Verlyn Mullett. On Dec. 23, 1954, in Marion, he married Eva "Irene" Chapman, who died Feb. 8, 2012.

Surviving are three daughters: Cindy (David) Cline, Syracuse; Sally (Joseph) Mink, Ligonier; Patsy Parks-Lantz, Syracuse; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Ann (Danny) Manning, Wabash; a brother, Micky (Nancy) Mullett, Wabash; a sister-in-law, Mary Kay Howard, Greenwood; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Susie Mullett; and an infant great-grandson, Kizer Davidson.

He was a Korean Navy War veteran, serving from 1954-1958; a member of the Eagles Lodge #3760; the VFW of Wolf Lake and American Legion Post #223, Syracuse.

He was a self-employed blacksmith, and had worked at Riblet Corporation in Syracuse, in the maintenance department at Skyline in Goshen and the Maple Leaf Feed Mill in Syracuse.

The family will be announcing a public celebration of life service in the near future in which military honors will be given. Burial will be in Bond Cemetery, Amboy.
