Mitchell Jr. Manns, of Claypool, passed away at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, at the age of 77.

He was born June 30, 1940, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Elizabeth Dollie Mullins Manns and Dorton Manns. He was married to Bonnie Brown Manns from 1960 to 1984, and Mitchell remarried on Aug. 17, 1986, to Judy Jonas Manns, who passed away on April 28, 2009.

Mitchell worked as plant manager for J.C. Manufacturing in North Webster for 25 years until his retirement in 2007. He moved to Arizona, then moved back in September 2017. He was a car enthusiast, especially fast cars. He enjoyed going to restaurants and meeting friends. Mitchell was a loving father, grandfather, and brother, and will be dearly missed.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Michael (wife Cathy) Manns, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Michelle (husband Steve Rowlett) Keplinger, Madison; four grandchildren:  Brandon Fruit, Tiffany Fruit, Alexander Manns and Erica Manns; and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, Becky (husband Duane) Spangle, Claypool, and Della (husband Lamoine) Leckrone, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; a son, Christopher Manns; a sister, Grace Azbell; and five brothers, Russell, Edward, Dayton, Ortie and Eugene Manns.

His memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
