She was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Angola, to Carl Leo Barnhart and Hazel Bryan Barnhart. In September 1951 she was married to James Corliss Hopper, who preceded her in death.

She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 55 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego.

Beverly worked for Home Hospital and Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, before moving to Warsaw. She then worked for many years as a supervisor at Free Methodist Publishing House. When they closed their doors, she took up studies in nursing at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. At the age of 55 she earned her LPN degree and worked for Grace Village Retirement Community until she retired.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Debra Ann (husband Robert) Chisholm, Dallas, Texas, and Diana Lynn (husband Ed) Warren, Claypool; and her son, Steven Michael (wife Jody) Hopper, Warsaw. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanna (husband Larry) Fischer, Katy, Texas, and Julie (husband Kevin) Mitchell, Franklin; and her brother, William (wife Judy) Barnhart, Archbold, Ohio.
