Former MasterWorks Director Kavanaugh Dies At 63

He was the director of the MasterWorks Festival in Winona Lake for 15 years from 2001 to 2015.
His death was reported in a story in World Magazine found online at world.wng.org.

The MasterWorks Festival began at Houghton College in New York before moving to Grace College in Winona Lake. From there, the festival moved to Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. The festival is scheduled to move to Converse College in Spartansburg, S.C., this year.
Although Kavanaugh retired as festival director in 2016, he continued to be involved in music, recently conducting the New Mexico Philharmonic.
Kavanaugh is survived by his wife, Barbara, and four sons, Christopher, David, John, and Peter.
