He was born June 3, 1956, in Warsaw, to William “Bill” Richardson and Mary Ann Haywood Richardson. He was married on July 13, 1989, to JoAnn Williams, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, his childhood years were spent in Silver Lake before his family moved to Warsaw. Larry was a 1974 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, then attended Purdue University.
Larry had worked for many years for Bertsch Vending Co. and Hand Industries, both of Warsaw. He was the purchasing manager for Snyder Food Services in Kendallville, where he retired in January 2018.
He was an avid Chicago Bears and Purdue fan, and loved to play golf.
Larry especially enjoyed socializing with family and friends, and was quite often the life of the party. He had a real unique talent of creating quirky sayings and quoting hilarious lines from movies. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by his family and all who knew him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, JoAnn Richardson, Warsaw; two nephews, Jerry W. (wife Sarah) Richardson, Westfield, and Jonathan L. (wife Nora) Richardson, Chicago; great-niece and great-nephews: Will, Maddie, Emmett and Henry; and his sister-in-law, Paula Richardson, Leesburg. He also leaves behind two very special friends, Tim and Shirlee Hauth, Warsaw, and two furry friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Richardson, in 2008; his father, William “Bill” Richardson, in 2012; and his brother, Jerry L. Richardson, in 2016.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Jamy Gregory.
There will be time for friends and family to visit prior to the memorial service from 4 to 6 p.m.
There will be a reception hosted by the family after the service from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. at the Warsaw Elks Lodge, 310 E. Center St., Warsaw.
