Manchester Downs Wildcats In TRC Matchup

SOUTH WHITLEY – In his return from a one-game suspension, Manchester’s Hayes Sturtsman passed for three touchdowns and ran for two scores in the Squires’ 34-14 Three Rivers Conference football victory at Whitko Friday.

Trey Clark caught touchdown passes of 43 and 89 yards, and Parker Yard had a 25-yard touchdown catch. Sturtsman passed for 270 yards and ran for 70 more.

Whitko’s Hunter Reed rushed for 116 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns.

Manchester (2-5, 1-2 TRC) hosts Rochester Friday night. Whitko (0-7, 0-3 TRC) plays at Northfield on Friday.

Triton Beats Bluejays

BOURBON – James “Bo” Snyder threw four touchdown passes, two each to Drew Stichter and Delano Shumpert, for Triton in its 36-8 Hoosier North Athletic Conference win over North Judson Friday night.

Snyder passed for 378 yards on the night. Tye Orsund had four receptions for 188 yards, and Shumpert caught six passes for 170 yards.

Triton earned the win despite four turnovers: three interceptions and a lost fumble.

The Trojans (5-2 overall, 4-1 HNAC) play at Knox Friday night for sole possession of second place in the conference. Knox lost for the first time this season, falling to first-place Pioneer 28-7 Friday night.
