Tax Reform

While President Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress begin to tackling tax reform, our Legislators must take a serious look at  U.S. Corporations who hold their profits overseas. These companies keep money in tax havens like the Cayman Islands to avoid paying U.S. Taxes. This practice is not popular with Republicans or Democrats, and yet there hasn't been a serious effort in Congress to address this issue before now.

Our President is committed to America First policies, and his plans for tax reform include closing the loopholes in our tax code that reward these corporations that are hurting the economy, to maximize their profits. By just bringing these trillions of dollars back home, tax revenue and wages would increase immediately. In the past, Democrats have been advocates for bringing the money back to the U.S. There are few issues these days that politicians on both sides of the aisle can agree on, but this is one of those rare instances.

If Congress cannot act in a bipartisan manner on an issue like this, will they ever? Democrats and Republicans need to deliver on tax reform. It is right for Kosciusko County; it is right for Indiana.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.
