Calizo, Reimink Have Hat Tricks In LCA’s Girls Soccer Win
WINONA LAKE – Tori Calizo and Anna Reimink had three goals each for Lakeland Christian in its 8-1 non-conference girls soccer win over Culver Community Tuesday evening.
Lauren Starrett and Joy Haines added goals for the Lady Cougars. Lilly Sayavongsing scored the Lady Cavaliers’ only goal on a penalty kick.
Lakeland Christian (6-5) will travel to Goshen to take on the Lady RedHawks’ junior varsity team on Thursday.
Eagles Defeat Cougars
CULVER – Lakeland Christian gave up five goals in the first half and lost 6-0 at Culver Academies Tuesday.
Junior goalkeeper Remington Swanson recorded a season-high 18 saves in the game.
The Cougars (6-9) host Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Lady Cougars VB Falls
AUBURN – Heather Plastow had six digs and three kills for Lakeland Christian in its 25-9, 25-13, 25-20 volleyball loss at Lakewood Park Christian Tuesday.
Kyla Kohler had six assists and two kills in the match. Baylee Wiley had two kills and Kenzie Burns seven digs for the Lady Cougars.
Lakeland Christian will host Elkhart Christian at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial Downs Wawasee
ELKHART – Meghan Beer and Allie Haberman had goals for Wawasee in its 7-2 Northern Lakes Conference girls soccer loss at Elkhart Memorial Tuesday.
Natalie Winters assisted on Beer’s goal, and Hannah Lancaster had the assist on the Haberman goal.
Wawasee (3-12, 0-6 NLC) plays NorthWood in Nappanee Thursday.
Northfield Volleyball Downs Manchester
WABASH – Kara Kline had seven kills and two blocks, and Anna Osborne had three kills, two blocks and an ace for Manchester in its 25-20, 25-22, 25-17 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss at Northfield Tuesday.
Ali Sites had a team-high 15 digs, and Emma West led the Lady Squires with 21 assists.
The Lady Squires won the junior varsity match 25-13, 18-25, 15-9 over the Lady Norse. Kyrsten Eakright had six kills, and Lydia Greer 16 digs for Manchester.
Next up for the Lady Squires is another conference road match Thursday at Southwood.
Pioneer Beats Triton
ROYAL CENTER – Nicole Sechrist had 19 kills, 15 digs and six blocks for Triton in its 21-25, 25-21, 25-17, 26-24 Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball loss at Pioneer Tuesday.
Lexia Hostrawser had nine kills and four blocks in the match. Abbey Viers had eight kills, Hannah Wanemacher 34 assists, Tatum Hargrave two aces and Emma Ross 13 digs for the Lady Trojans.
Pioneer won the junior varsity match 25-15, 25-13 over Triton.
The Lady Trojans will host Plymouth at the Trojan Trench today.
Lady Wildcats Swept
BUNKER HILL – Alicia Sikora had 22 assists, seven kills and three aces for Whitko in its 25-16, 25-23, 25-16 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss at Maconaquah Tuesday evening.
Carissa Beck had three blocks and six kills for Whitko. Kristina Slater had 27 digs and Haley Howard three aces in the match.
Whitko (4-21) will host Fort Wayne Canterbury in a non-conference match Thursday.
Whitko Tennis Falls
LAGRANGE – Aiden Hoffman lost a third-set super tiebreaker at No. 3 singles for Whitko in its 5-0 non-conference boys tennis loss at Prairie Heights Tuesday.
The other four matches were completed in straight sets.
Whitko concluded its regular season with a 1-13 record. The Wildcats received a first-round bye in the Warsaw Sectional and will play Columbia City in the semifinals Thursday.
