By Staff Report-

The purchase of a second industrial refrigerator for the Beaman Home was made possible by a donation from members of First United Methodist Church in Warsaw.

With the opening and prominence of the new Beaman Home Shelter and Outreach Center, and with a greater number of beds available to shelter domestic violence victims and their kids, utilization of services has significantly increased in the past several months, according to a news release from the Beaman Home.

The almost daily addition of more clients and their kids means an increased need for food and additional space to keep it fresh. One industrial refrigerator was not enough to handle the quantity of meals being served. The members of First United Methodist Church came to the rescue, the release states. They stepped up to serve those in need, and made it possible to purchase an additional refrigerator.

“Warsaw First United Methodist Church believes in the equality and wholeness of all persons. We applaud and support the efforts of the Beaman Home bringing healing to individuals and families in our community,” said FUMC Pastor Mark Need. “Our church family wanted to support this wonderful organization in practical ways so that the Beaman Home could continue bringing positive change into this world.  We are grateful for their work, and offer our prayers and support to their endeavors.”

Beaman Home provides services to Kosciusko, Fulton and Marshall counties’ victims of domestic violence and their children.
