ROCHESTER – Mrs. Carol A. Vandermark, 81, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

She was born in Fulton County on July 6, 1936, the daughter of  Ira Morris and Nina L. Riley Spurlock.

On June 19, 1955, in Mentone,  Carol married Lyle K. Vandermark.  They enjoyed over 56 years of life's adventures.  

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Lyle on July 24, 2011, and a step brother, Sam Harmon.

A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m., Monday Sept. 25, 2017, at the Church of Christ, 120 East 5th St., Rochester.  Pastor Aaron Gross will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 24, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1220 West 18th St., Rochester and an hour prior to the service in the church Monday. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery.
