Lady Trojan Volleyball Gets Conference Sweep Over LaVille

LAKEVILLE – Nichole Sechrist had 12 kills, three blocks and a pair of aces for Triton in its 25-19, 25-20, 27-25 Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball win at LaVille Thursday.

Emma Ross had 16 digs and six kills for the Lady Trojans. Hannah Wanemacher had 18 assists, Tatum Hargrace two aces, Sidney Musilli 16 digs and Lexia Hostrawser four blocks in the winning effort.

The Lady Lancers won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-24.

Triton is now 3-2 in the conference and 9-9 overall. The Lady Trojans will play in the Bremen tournament on Saturday.

Peterson Reaches Milestone For Valley

AKRON – Junior Emily Peterson recorded her 1,000th career assist for Tippecanoe Valley in its 25-23, 24-26, 25-21 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss to Northfield Thursday night.

Peterson had 27 assists in Thursday’s match. Shayleigh Shriver had 15 digs, Sophie Bussard seven kills, with Hannah Jansma and Anna Walters recording two assists each for the Lady Vikings.

Valley won the junior varsity match 25-19, 15-25, 15-8 over the Lady Norse. Hannah Engstrand had 15 assists, Sidney Wagoner 20 kills, Allison Betten three digs and two aces, and Hayley Backus two blocks for Valley.

Valley will play in the Warsaw tournament Saturday.



Whitko VB Sweeps

HAMILTON – Haley Howard had eight aces and five kills for Whitko in its 25-9, 25-14, 25-10 non-conference volleyball sweep at Hamilton Thursday.

Kristina Slater had 18 digs and four aces for the Lady Wildcats. Carissa Beck had seven kills, Alison Weeks four kills and Alicia Sikora 20 assists in the win.

Whitko (4-20) plays a Three Rivers Conference match at Maconaquah Tuesday.



Lady Cougars Fall In 5

WINONA LAKE – Kyla Kohler had 29 assists, and Baylee Wiley added nine kills for Lakeland Christian in its 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10 non-conference volleyball loss to Fort Wayne Canterbury Thursday.

Cami Dahms had eights kills and five aces for the Lady Cougars. Kenzie Burns had eight kills, Heather Plastow 13 digs and Carlie Wise added seven kills, seven digs and four aces for LCA.

Lakeland Christian (6-8) plays in the Calumet Christian Invitational Saturday.



Lady Squires Swept

BUNKER HILL – Sydney Day had seven kills and six digs for Manchester in its 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss at Maconaquah Thursday.

Emma West, Kara Kline and Ali Sites had 10 digs each for Manchester. West added 13 assists in the match.

Manchester won the junior varsity match 25-21, 25-11 over the Lady Braves. Krysten Eakright and Sarah Pegg had five kills each in the match.

The Lady Squires play a conference match at Northfield Tuesday.
