CROP Hunger Walk Set Sunday

The 33rd annual Kosciusko CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday at the Salvation Army, 501 E. Arthur St., Warsaw.

Sunday has also been designated Hunger Awareness Sunday by the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association. Churches, individuals and organizations are encouraged to pray for those who face hunger and those affected by hurricanes, and to support these people with financial gifts.   

The event will include a 5K and a shorter walk.

Registration for the CROP Walk begins at 1 p.m., with the walk starting at 1:30. Donations from the walk will support Church World Service and The Salvation Army.  

To register for the event or give an online donation, visit www.crophungerwalk.org/warsawin. Checks payable to CWS/CROP may be sent to GWMA, P.O. Box 1797, Warsaw, IN 46581.  

The Salvation Army and Church World Service offer assistance to those in need around the world.

The Salvation Army also operates a Choice Pantry that assists more than 200 local families with food, diapers and nonfood items. To donate items or for more information, call 574-268-7697.
