Compromise

When you compromise with the devil, you're the one who changes position. I just hope President Trump's dealing with Chuck and Nancy doesn't become a compromise with the devil. Republican presidents make the mistake too often of going along with Democrats and being destroyed by those Democrats.

The stock market crash of 1929 produced a bad recession. Herbert Hoover thought that private aid and assistance would help the economy recover as it had for decades. The Democrats wanted Hoover to increase spending five-fold, raise tax rates on the rich, and impose tariffs on imported goods to protect American industries. Hoover followed the advice of the Democrats and made the bad recession into the Great Depression. FDR defeated Hoover in 1932 by blaming him for the Great Depression, which he conveniently forgot to blame his party for making worse. After he took office in 1933 he continued the Democrat policies that had wrecked the economy and needed the Second World War to rebuild our economy. The government grew and more people became dependent on it.

When Reagan was president, the Democrats convinced him that if he allowed a few million illegal aliens to stay in this country, there would be border security and no illegal alien problem in the future. The Democrats also promised Reagan that they would cut spending as he cut taxes. We now have a bigger illegal alien problem and a national debt that is over three times larger than it would have been if we had fiscal restraint.

George H.W. Bush said, "Read my lips; no new taxes." But Democrats convinced him that he needed to raise taxes to rescue the economy. He broke his promise and Democrats defeated him for doing what they wanted him to do.

George W. Bush wanted to destroy terrorism instead of maintain it like Clinton had advised him and since Clinton hadn't deported Mohamed Atta and his people after they overstayed their visa limits, they were allowed to kill over 3,000 people.

We need tax reform, health care reform and the wall, which would be a part of a comprehensive immigration control plan. We don't need another Herbert Hoover again, despite what Archie Bunker sang.

Trump wants what's good for America. Democrats only want what’s good for Democrats. Republicans must work with Trump because when they try to get along with Democrats, they get punished in one way or another. If Democrats win, America fails.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old. Unlike other distributions, which are taxed at ordinary income tax rates, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow for a tax-free distribution from an IRA, provided that the distribution goes directly to a qualified charity.
