    Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received:

    FOR: NEW ADMINSTRATIVE OFFICE BUILDING and ADDITIONS to the MAINTENANCE GARAGE KOSCIUSKO COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARMENT Kosciusko County

    AT: Kosciusko County Auditor’s Office

    100 W. Center St. Warsaw, IN 46580

    UNTIL: 9:00 a.m. (local time) October 10, 2017

    BID OPENING: Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 9:15 A.M. (local time) during the Commissioner’s meeting on October 10, 2017. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Courthouse, 100 W. Center St., Warsaw, IN 46580.

    The Projects consist of prime bid contracts for two projects at the same site.

    Project One: The construction of an approximately 8,200 SF New Administrative Office building. Project Two: The construction of  approximately 6,100 SF of additions and related interior renovation, and facade improvements for the existing Maintenance Garage building.

    The Projects will be awarded separately as single Prime Contracts where the General Contractor is responsible for all Trades, schedule coordination, and general conditions of that Project.

    Combination bids may be submitted combining both projects under one Prime Contract. The General Contractor is responsible for all Trades, schedule coordination, and general conditions of the combined projects.

    The Projects are located at the Kosciusko County Highway Department, 2936 E. Old Road 30, Warsaw, IN 46582. The building and site will remain occupied during construction.

PRE BID MEETING:

    Bidders are urged to attend a Pre-Bid Meeting September 27, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.

    The Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the project site starting with a general comments and questions session in the training room of the Sheriff Department annex located at the rear of the Highway Department site.

    The Pre-Bid meeting will conclude with the Maintenance Garage and site area for the proposed new office building open and available for inspection by attendees.

    Bidders must place an order on  www.raplanroom.com to be able to download documents electronically or request printed documents. Bidders desiring printed documents shall pay for the cost of printing, shipping and handling.

    Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

    The successful bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds of one hundred percent (100%) of their Contract amount prior to execution of Contracts.

    No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the date set for bid opening. In comparing bids, consideration will not be confined to price only. The successful bidder will be the one that is judged to best serve the interests of Kosciusko County when price, product, safety, quality and delivery are considered.

    The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bid(s) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 30 days before awarding contracts.

    It is the intention of the Owner that Construction of the Project will start in November 1, 2017, and all work will be substantially complete by December 10, 2018.

    Bid Proposal shall be executed in a complete manner on the bid form provided in the project manual and on State Forms 96 and 96A.

    Construction shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents which are on file with the Owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following locations in addition to the Architect’s distributor:
