American Association Of University Women

American Association of University Women, Warsaw branch, will meet at 10 a.m. today in the home of Ruth Jones on Colfax Street. If you need directions, call Ruth.

The program on therapy dogs will be given by Marsha Martin. There will be a business meeting, too. This is the first meeting of the year.

Wednesday Night Bridge Group

Seven tables met Sept. 13 with the following winners: John Wagley, Cathy Clary, Tom Anderson, Charlie Ker, Phil Gutman, Jean Axelberg, Rosalee Spear and Mike Herring.

This week’s meeting was the group’s last Wednesday night session. Beginning Sept. 19, the group will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the same place. Members may come earlier to eat.

Janet and John Wagley are hostess and host for September.



North Webster Community Center SPEC

NORTH WEBSTER — Bridge winners this week from the Senior Prime Enrichment Center have been announced.

On Sept. 12, Wanda Wyrick was first, finishing ahead of her husband, Mike, by only 10 points.

On Sept. 14, Jan Hodson was first and Kay Sutton was second.



Four Seasons Ladies Bridge

Four Seasons Ladies Bridge club met Wednesday at The Great Wall.

Winners were Helen Miller, Sondra Dickon, Beth Huffer and Judy Stewart. Hostess was Liz Frazzetta.



Singles Meeting Friends

A small group met Wednesday at the Martin's Super Market deli. Talk of the busy weekend included the Parade of Homes and the Nappanee Apple Festival.

Donald arrived at the meeting with pictures of the damage hurricane Irma did to his winter home in Florida. The storm took out his carport.

Don reported that his winter home had no damage, not even a leaf on the ground. Ray, who also has a winter home in Florida, was not at the meeting.

Two tables of euchre followed the short meeting.

The group meets Wednesdays at the upstairs deli at Martin’s. Those who wish to attend may gather between 6:30 and 7 p.m. to grab a bite to eat before the meeting.



Pizza King Bridge

The Pizza King bridge group played on Thursday with Ann Thallemer as hostess.

Winners were Dian Cartwright, ?June Stealy and Mary Eherenman.
