Warsaw Police Names New PIO

Warsaw Police Department announced its new public information officer is Detective Ryan E. Coble. Coble is a resident of the city of Warsaw and a four-year veteran of the WPD. He has held the ranks of patrol officer and corporal before recently being promoted to the rank of detective. The new assignment will be in addition to his responsibilities as a member of the WPD Detective Division. Coble received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from IPFW in 2013, and is a 2013 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He is a member of the City of Warsaw Aquatics Unit and has certifications in the areas of crime scene investigations, cell phone extraction and digital imaging video recovery techniques. Coble replaces Kip Shuter, who retired Saturday, and had been WPD's public information officer since 2010. The PIO is responsible for providing information and press releases to the public and area news agencies.
