Lady Tigers Get Road Volleyball Sweep Over Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY – Alexie Day led Warsaw with 14 kills, helping the Lady Tigers to a 25-8, 25-18, 25-15 non-conference volleyball sweep over host Columbia City Tuesday.

Kacy Bragg had seven kills and three blocks in the winning cause. Kennedy Lauck and Betty Barnett had two blocks each, Erin Perugh had 17 digs and Elizabeth Schmidt five aces for the Lady Tigers.

In junior varsity play, Warsaw swept the Lady Eagles 25-24, 25-19. Gwyn Bellamy had eight kills and five aces in the match. Mckenna Hawblitzel had 10 digs and Kylie Prater had six digs for the Lady Tigers.

The Warsaw freshmen won in three sets, 22-25, 25-20, 15-9 over the Lady Eagles. Allison Zartman had six kills, and Chloe Riley had five kills for Warsaw. Kendra Love had three aces in the match.

Next up for Warsaw is a Northern Lakes Conference home match with Plymouth on Thursday.



Lady Squires Win

NORTH MANCHESTER – After dropping a close second set, Manchester took a 25-13, 23-25, 25-23, 25-14 non-conference volleyball win over visiting Fort Wayne Canterbury.

Sydney Day had 20 kills, six digs and three blocks in the match. Kendra Auler had three aces and a kill, and Emma West had 35 assists for the Lady Squires.

The junior varsity match went to Manchester 25-11, 25-14 over Canterbury. Andrea Kahn, Halie Wampler, Morgan Parrett and Sarah Pegg had three kills each in the match. Mackenzie Day and Aubree Lambert had four aces each.

Next up for Manchester is a Three Rivers Conference match against visiting Tippecanoe Valley Thursday.



Valley Sweeps LaVille

LAKEVILLE – Shayleigh Shriver had seven kills and three aces, and Sophie Bussard had seven kills, two blocks and eight digs for Tippecanoe Valley in its 25-18, 25-20, 25-12 non-conference volleyball win at LaVille Tuesday.

Emily Peterson had 18 assists for Valley. Anna Walters had three aces in the match.

The Lady Viking junior varsity improved its record to 15-2 with a 25-18, 25-17 win over the Lady Lancers. Sidney Wagoner had nine kills and six digs, Hannah Engstrand had five assists, and Delaney Wagoner and Allison Betten had three aces each.

The Lady Vikings (13-5) return to Three Rivers Conference play Thursday at Manchester.



Triton Drops Non-Conference Match

BOURBON – Hannah Wanemacher had 29 assists and four blocks for Triton in its 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18 non-conference volleyball loss to visiting Elkhart Christian Tuesday.

Nichole Sechrist recorded 22 kills for the Lady Trojans. Tatum Hargrave had three aces and Emma Ross was credited with 15 digs in the match.

Triton won the junior varsity match 25-24, 25-21 over the Lady Eagles.

Next up for Triton is another non-conference match Thursday at Bethany Christian.



Whitko Falls In 4 Sets

SOUTH WHITLEY – Kristina Slater had 30 digs and three aces, and Carissa Beck had 14 kills for Whitko in its 26-24, 11-25, 25-18, 25-23 non-conference volleyball loss to visiting Central Noble Tuesday.

Haley Howard had three aces and seven kills in the match. Hannah Sikora had 31 assists for Whitko.

The Lady Wildcats are back in action Thursday, hosting Southwood in a Three Rivers Conference matchup.
