Lady Squires Repeat As Three Rivers Champions

HUNTINGTON – Kelsey Eichenauer won the individual title with an 87, leading Manchester to its second-straight Three Rivers Conference girls golf title Saturday at Norwood Golf Club. The Lady Squires’ score of 371 was 30 shots better than runner-up Northfield, with Maconaquah at 430.

Whitko finished seventh at 488, and Tippecanoe Valley was eighth at 539.

Lydia Little and Samantha Kissell each posted 93 for Manchester, and Cora Barnett had a 98. Madyson Ulrey shot a 102 for the champions. Eichenauer, Little, Kissell and Barnett were named to the all-conference team.

The conference title was the fifth for the school; besides the current back-to-back streak, the titles came in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

Erin Starkweather paced the Lady Wildcats with a 112, and Bailey Wright posted a 119 for Whitko. Tippecanoe Valley was led by Makayla Sandbakken’s 106.

Next up for Manchester is a return to Norwood for the Huntington North Sectional on Saturday. Whitko will play Concord and host Wawasee today at Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse. Valley will host LaVille at Round Barn Golf Club in Rochester today.

Lady Trojans Win First HNAC Golf Crown

NORTH JUDSON – Triton won its first Hoosier North Athletic Conference girls golf title Saturday at Chesapeake Run Golf Club. The Lady Trojans’ score of 410 was better than second-place Winamac’s 432 and Pioneer’s 475.

Delaney Groves paced the Lady Trojans with a 99. Megan McFarland and Alysha May each posted 101s, Kate Gardener finished at 109 and Whytnie Miller at 112.

Triton will play two more regular-season matches. The first will be on Tuesday when the Lady Trojans take on Whitko and host Warsaw at Stonehenge Golf Club. On Wednesday, Triton takes on host Plymouth at Pretty Lake Golf Club, before Saturday’s Warsaw Sectional tournament at Stonehenge.
