BOURBON – It was a tale of two halves Friday night for the Triton Trojans.

Hosting Marshall County rival Bremen, a program that has dominated the Trojans over the years, Triton trailed just 14-10 at halftime.

Bremen, however, owned the second half and pulled away for a 35-10 win.

The visiting Lions improved to 2-2 on the season, while Triton fell to 3-1.

Bremen did most of its damage on the ground, racking up 270 rushing yards to Triton’s 47.

The Lions tallied 396 total yards of offense to the Trojans’ 203.

Nathan Mullen led the Lions with 117 yards on 22 carries, while Briley Leeper added 68 yards on nine carries.

Bremen’s Ryan Caldwell completed just 5 of 15 passes, but threw for 126 yards and two scores.

For Triton, James Snyder completed 9 of 21 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown.

Triton’s points came on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Snyder to Ethan Berry, and via a 23-yard Brandon Lenker field goal.

Berry finished the game with two catches for 72 yards, while Drew Stichter caught three passes for 60 yards.

The Trojans travel to Culver Community Friday for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game against the Cavaliers.
