Lady Trojan Golf Wins

NORTH JUDSON – Delanie Groves paced Triton, recording a 51 at Chesapeake Run Golf Club to lead the Lady Trojans to four Hoosier North Athletic Conference girls golf wins Tuesday. Triton’s 221 bested host North Judson’s 240, Knox’s 245 and West Central’s 265.

Groves tied North Judson’s Madelyn Schumacher for medalist honors.

Megan McFarland had a 53 for Triton, with Whytnie Miller at 58, Kate Gardner at 59 and Alysha May at 60.

Triton (12-5) will host Culver Academies and LaVille at Rozella Ford on Thursday.



Wawasee Splits

SYRACUSE – Belle Brunner’s 46 led Wawasee to a split of a three-way non-conference girls golf match Tuesday. Elkhart Central’s 191 edged out the Lady Warriors at 193, with Fairfield checking in with a 234.

Jadison Rostochak had a 48 for the Lady Warriors, while Valerie Haessig had a 49. Lesley Tayagua shot a 50 and Tate Cowan a 53.

Wawasee (10-6) plays at Fremont Thursday.



Lady Wildcats Win

WABASH – For a second straight match, Whitko got a girls golf win when the opposition, in Tuesday’s case it was host Southwood, couldn’t field a full team.

Makayla Compton had a career-best 51 for Whitko, while Bailey Wright added a 59. Summer West and Erin Starkweather shot 66 and 67, respectively.

Whitko will play Northridge and host West Noble on Thursday.
