The Senior Activities Center is at 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.

Lunch with Real Services is available to those who call by 11 a.m. the day before.

Seniors who need a ride may call Bill at 574-267-2012.

Mondays

Free bread is available first come, first served; Liberty Sewing Circle, noon to 4 p.m. (will not meet on Labor Day).

Tuesdays

Wood carvers, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesdays

Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30.

Thursdays

Weigh-in for Biggest Loser; chair volleyball, 10:30 a.m.; bingo, 12:30 p.m.

Fridays

Movie Day and Yarn Day alternate every other Friday. Movie suggestions are welcome.

Sept. 18 - Toni’s Foot Connection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sept. 19 - Craft Day, sock heating pads, cost: $4, sign-up requested; Toni’s Foot Connection.

Sept. 20 - Fun Day Lunch, noon, bring a dish to share.

Sept. 21 - Blood pressure clinic, 11 a.m.

Sept. 22 - Yarn Day, bring a project to work on.

Sept. 25 - Ladies euchre, 12:30 p.m.

Sept. 26 - Monthly outing, Roann/Doud Orchards, buses will leave at 9 a.m. and return by 3:30 p.m. Those who plan to attend must sign up.

What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
